Sofia Kourtesis is a Peruvian-born DJ, producer, and vocalist based in Berlin, Germany, originally from Magdalena, Lima. Her sound merges house music with Latin American rhythms, found sounds, and deeply personal storytelling, drawing equally on her South American upbringing and Berlin club culture. She released a string of acclaimed EPs on Studio Barnhus before signing to Ninja Tune, where her debut album Madres (2023) earned widespread critical recognition and appearances on year-end lists from Pitchfork, The Guardian, and Resident Advisor. She has performed at Glastonbury and Primavera Sound and toured alongside Caribou, Four Tet, and Floating Points.
